King County Master Gardener Foundation Plant Sales bring together a vibrant selection of regionally adapted plants, carefully cultivated by knowledgeable volunteers who understand the unique growing conditions of the Pacific Northwest.

From colorful annuals and hardy perennials to edible starts and native plants that support local pollinators, every purchase helps sustain the educational programs and outreach efforts of the WSU Extension Master Gardener community. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, you’ll find inspiration, expert advice, and plants that are proven to thrive in our local climate.

Plant Sale Highlights

Seattle Spring Plant Sale

Don’t miss the Master Gardeners booth at the Tilth Alliance Plant Sale this spring, where every plant is grown and sourced by Extension Master Gardeners! We’re offering flowering plants, perennials, ferns, houseplants, tubers and seeds. We’ll have a curated selection of native and pollinator plants, as well as some rare plant surprises. With over 1,500 plants on hand, there’s something for every gardener. Tilth Alliance will be offering edible plants at the sale, making it a wonderful one-stop destination.

Proceeds from our booth benefit the Master Gardener Foundation of King County, which supports gardening education and outreach throughout King County.

Bellevue Demonstration Garden Spring Sale

Come shop a wide selection of locally grown vegetable starts and ornamentals while getting expert advice from our King County Extension Master Gardener volunteers!

Celebrate the arrival of spring and discover the perfect plant for your garden or as a thoughtful gift.
From classic favorites to unique, hard-to-find varieties, the sale offers something for every type of gardener. Choose from veggie starts and ornamentals grown and propagated by Master Gardeners as well as a selection of seasonal plants from local nurseries.

  • Vegetable starts: four-inch starts grown in the nearby greenhouse featuring tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants and more
  • Ornamentals: suitable for garden beds, borders and containers
  • Garden Market: gently used books, tools, pots and other treasures
  • WSU Extension Master Gardener Plant Clinic: free gardening advice and resources
  • Children’s Scavenger Hunt!

Fall Plant Sale & Talks at the Bellevue Botanical Garden

Join the WSU Extension Master Gardeners at the Bellevue Botanical Garden on Sunday, September 13th, (see event times below) to explore how our backyards can actively protect and enhance PNW biodiversity. This year’s inspiring education event features practical strategies for growing a resilient garden in a changing climate.

Enjoy curated speakers, door prizes, vendors, and the colors of the Bellevue Botanical Gardens as it transitions into fall. Arrange a beautiful bouquet at our Bloom Bar and shop boutique plant vendors only found online.

Be sure to bring the kids – they’ll have an opportunity for hands-on experiences at a special table hosted by the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society.  Here, youngsters can plant something to take home, learn about grasslands and meadows, and also experience a “Find it Challenge!” at the Garden.

Bellevue Demonstration Garden Harvest Festival

The community is invited to attend the annual Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 19 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

This event marks the conclusion of the growing season and offers a variety of educational and family-friendly activities. The festival will feature a WSU Extension Master Gardener Plant Clinic, a Fall Plant Sale, fresh floral bouquets and a Garden Flea Market. A designated photo display area will also be available for attendees wishing to take personal or family photographs.

Throughout the day, guests may participate in demonstrations highlighting Leaf Castings, Harvesting Herbs, Concrete Garden Edging, Potpourri, and Wire Cloches, as well as educational activities focused on garden themes such as Pollinators and Soil Health. These sessions are designed to provide practical skills and inspiration for gardeners and hobbyists of all experience levels.

Children’s activities will include flower bracelets, leaf rubbings, nature’s spirals and rings, a scavenger hunt and more.

Admission to the Fall Harvest Festival is free as are demonstrations and activities. Complimentary parking will be available in the lot and along the street.
